Welcome

When Colorado became one of the first states in the nation to legalize retail marijuana in 2014, the Colorado General Assembly mandated that the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) monitor the scientific data and medical literature on marijuana use patterns and health effects associated with marijuana use.

The information presented on this website is the product of the Retail Marijuana Public Health Advisory Committee. It is regularly updated to reflect the latest scientific findings.

Every two years, this website and a summary of the information it contains is presented to the Colorado State Board of Health, the Colorado Department of Revenue and the Colorado General Assembly as the “report” required per 25-1.5-110, C.R.S.
